Placeholder — no terms of service are in effect yet. This is a prototype; real terms will be put in place before any public or monetized release.
Placeholder — no data-processing notice is in effect yet. The app currently stores only your chosen position, horizon angle, star limit and tile/sync preferences locally in your browser, nothing is sent to a server. The one exception: if you set a Stadia Maps API key (Options → Map tiles), map-tile requests carrying that key go to Stadia Maps' own servers instead of OpenStreetMap's — that's between you and Stadia, this app has no server of its own in between. If you set a sync server URL (Options → Data sync), this app only ever sends plain GET requests to it; your position/horizon are never included.
Your health is more important than any meteor.
A prototype for visualizing fireball/meteor atmospheric-entry trajectories ("imminent impactors") in the sky, on a map and in 3D. Built as a work in progress — details below are placeholders.

Camera and motion-sensor (compass) access only work when this page is served over https:// (or opened as localhost) - phones block both entirely on a file:// page opened directly from a download, before any permission prompt can even appear. To use these features on a phone, host this file somewhere with https:// (e.g. GitHub Pages, Netlify) and open it from there instead of the local file.
When served over https:// (or localhost), this app can be installed like a native app (your browser's "Add to Home Screen" / install icon) and keeps working offline afterwards: the app itself, plus every map tile you've already viewed, are cached on your device. A freshly viewed area of the map needs to be seen once while online before it's available offline; synced server data (if you've set one up) falls back to the last successful sync when you're offline.
